What it is to
manage an injury
Inadequate physical preparation or even previous injuries can have an impact and increase the risk of developing new injuries.

In 3 distinct phases
- Injury or illness phase
Aims to help the individual understand their injury. - Rehabilitation and recovery phase
Aims to maintain motivation and adherence to protocols – Rehabilitation through the formulation of objectives and a positive attitude. - Return to activity phase
Despite physical approval of return to activity, full rehabilitation is not complete until normal competitive functioning is achieved. Moreover, some research shows that 50% of athletes who are physically ready for a return to play are not psychologically ready.
